Took me a while, but I finally made it to the 5 digit numbers. 10,000 pageviews... Pretty crazy. Thank you to all who have taken the time to look at my work, even if you haven't liked what you've seen. It's all a learning experience, and I appreciate the comments and critiques you give out. The s help too.
On that note, I have a fairly big announcement... Well, for me anyways. I have a job interview for a Communications Specialist/Graphic Designer position at the library district that I currently work in. They're asking for a portfolio of the work I've done so far... Trying to figure out how to print out webpage designs... Probably going to put everything in a booklet too. Currently updating my resume too for this position.
But, the big thing that I have to do is a project that they're going to look at from all people who are interviewing for the job. The library is going to have a "Most Wanted" section of the library that is full of all of the books that people keep checking out, and they want artwork to be displayed in that section. I thought about it, and decided that an illustration of sorts would be best for something like this. This is an exciting section, and people will be seeing this artwork displayed, and it needs to match the excitement level of the books found in this section (which probably include, unfortunately, Harry Potter and Twilight). I'll probably include subtle image elements from the currently most popular novels and such, along with the logo for the library somewhere in there. However this turns out, this is probably the biggest project of my career as a graphic artist, and it will probably make or break my chance of getting this position.
Now I have to wait until they send me the information I need to get started on said project...
So yeah. Things are getting kinda exciting for me. We'll see where life decides to turn next...

New look, new features, just news.
I recently snagged a 1-year premium membership here at DA. Did one of the TrialPay things to get it.
Free is an awesome price, for one audiobook and a DA subscription. :D
Anyways, with the new look here at my page, I think this may give me some reason/inspiration to start submitting more stuff. That, and I kinda need to practice my Photoshopping skillz, since I scored a contract.
OH SNAP I DIDN'T MENTION THAT BEFORE, DID I.
That's because that news kinda happened a couple of days ago. Not going to say a lot about it here, but if you're interested in hearing about it, drop me a note.
I'm still exploring all the cool things I can do here n
*sigh*
Didn't get the graphic designer position.
Still on the job hunt.
Be nice if I could score some cash on commissions... I guess my profile page over at ~hiredeviantARTISTS (https://www.deviantart.com/hiredeviantartists) isn't really working... Maybe I'll lower prices for possible commissions? Didn't really think they were that high before, seen other artists go higher, but oh well. Maybe the art stuff isn't for me. Maybe I should focus more with writing.
Which, I'm happy to say, I've been working on anyways. I've had a story in mind for quite a while now, just now planning out the novel. I'm excited about it.
I'd be more excited if I got a nice full time job, though.
Beggars can't
I'm back. Finally.
First off, I apologize. I went away for a long time, never offered any explanation. College got the best of me, what can I say? At times, I did have the time to upload my new work here, but I didn't really have the energy. Not only that, but my school network didn't allow for uploads within the dorm rooms. So I was stuck with a one-way internet connection: stuff comes in, nothing goes out. Only Lindenwood University could have internet fail like that. So anyways, here I am, summer is here, I'm back uploading stuff and viewing works and so on and so forth.
About that summer "break..." Well, I don't really have a "summer break" anymore, becaus
Yes, I've been AWOL. And?
Well, I think I have good enough reason to leave... But I haven't really updated this place much. ANYWAYS...
I've been pretty swamped with school stuff, as usual. I was also on a job hunt for a while, and I finally landed one at the local library. Should be good times, and the pay is well, which is something else that I have been really needing lately; a paycheck. Unfortunately I haven't gotten any commissions here, so my money has been pretty tight lately. No fun with that aspect, but hopefully, things will return to non-stressful status.
I haven't gotten to do any work in Photoshop lately. Motivation hasn't been there (re: no commissions)
