Needed to practice a new method of digital painting using Photoshop. Veering away from Painter for the time being.

Why? I talked to a lot of artists at GenCon about what they preferred; Painter or Photoshop? Just about all of them said Photoshop, which kinda surprised me. But I understood their reasons why. So, I'm trying to use Photoshop more for painting purposes... Until I get a new computer and I can be brave enough to push my computer's RAM.

Anyways, this is a digital painting of my friend . Told her a while back I would get around to working some magic on this picture she took of herself, because I liked the perspective enough, and it gave me a lot to work with (hair, eyes, nose, etc). So here it is. Not bad for a first time at doing this kind of style. I mainly used the Art History Brush with a lot of variations with brushes and layer styles.
